A man in Utah was minding his own business driving on the interstate when he saw a bag fall out of a truck. He stopped to investigate and discovered that there was $20,000 in it. He immediately called the Utah highway patrol and turned it in.
The unemployment report was disappointing, but it’s not all bad news. It turns out more people are quitting their jobs these days. This is supposed to be good news because it shows that the economy is improving because there are more jobs for people to go after.
Chicago is in the middle of a flu outbreak, but it’s not making many headlines. It’s the canine flu, and there about 1,000 cases so far. At least five dogs have died.
President Obama visited Louisville on Thursday. As is usually the case, that caused one heck of a traffic jam for hours before and after. Traffic was held up for so long that a woman actually went into labor when she was stuck in traffic and her husband had to call 911.
Actor Kirk Douglas is alive and kicking at 98 years old and he’s a man on a mission. He wants people everywhere to put pen to paper and start writing letters again. Real letters that have to be mailed and everything.
