Gabatron Morning Briefing – 4-28-15: Your Freddie Gray Primer… Plus Goofy Stuff

Monday riots erupted in Baltimore after the funeral for Freddie Gray. Things were so bad in Baltimore that the Orioles game against the White Sox was canceled. There will be a curfew in the city starting tonight.

MIT scientists are warning that the US may be facing an “innovation deficit,” because we’re not investing enough in research and development. Science funding is “the lowest it has been since the Second World War as a fraction of the federal budget.”

The US government is lowering the recommended amount of fluoride in drinking water. It’s the first change in about 50 years.

You’re about to suffer from Full House overload. Not only do we have the Netflix spinoff to look forward to, but Lifetime is also making a behind the scenes movie about the original series.
