Gabatron Morning Briefing – 2-26-15: Bad Role Models

A California legislator wants to ban chewing tobacco from pro baseball games in the state. He thinks it’s bad for “role models” to chew the stuff.

United Airlines had to send out a warning letter to all of their pilots, complaining about how sloppy they are being. They are apparently making lots of mistakes that are resulting in “near misses.”

Astronomers in China have found a massive Black Hole 12.8 billion light years away. That’s only about 900 million years after the big bang. It’s the size of 12 billion suns, and 420 trillion times brighter.

Radio Shack has decided to auction off their name. The opening bid is $20 million.

A new study shows people who drink a lot of alcohol tend to have lower IQs. The study shows “consistent” links between “cognitive ability and alcohol-related problems”.
