Gabatron Morning Briefing – 2-23-15: To Thine Own Selfie Be True

A recent study shows selfies are influencing a greater number of people to undergo cosmetic procedures, even plastic surgery. Back before we all felt the need to update our Instagrams every five minutes, we only saw pictures of ourselves very rarely. Now we are constantly bombarded with them.

North Korea has decided to ban foreigners from participating in their marathon. They say that they are concerned about the possibility of an Ebola outbreak.

An Al Qaeda group in Somalia is calling for terrorist attacks on malls in the west, including the Mall of America in Minnesota. Mall of America as well as other malls throughout the country say that they are taking extra security precautions.

Wright State University in Ohio decided that it was a good idea to offer students a special meal to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and other black leaders. The menu included fried chicken and collard greens.
