Gabatron Morning Briefing 2-4-15: Television Overload

At least 13 people have died in Cook and DuPage counties while shoveling “heart attack” snow during the recent blizzard.

There were 26 original scripted series on cable in prime time and late night in 1999, and 199 last year. That’s not even counting the 25 that Netflix has added to the mix.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has filed a formal complaint, asking the Office of Congressional Ethics to consider whether Congressman Aaron Schock violated any rules by having someone lavishly redecorate his office for free.

Monopoly is celebrating it’s 80th birthday by putting real money into 80 game sets instead of the fake Monopoly money. That’s the good news. The bad news is it will only be game sets sold in France.

…and finally, A woman was asked to leave a McDonald’s in Beaver Dam, WI because she had her kangaroo with her. She claimed it was her “service pet” and even had a doctors note to verify it.
